"I am sure he will do very well in the coming elections; his party will do well and I wish him best of luck," Abdullah told reporters after meeting the 91-year old Karunanidhi at his Gopalapuram residence.
Karunanidhi "is like my father," the NC leader said adding he therefore made it a point to visit the DMK chief every time he visited the southern city.
Asked about a possible DMK-Congress tie-up for the coming Assembly elections in the state, he said "I don't belong to Congress," adding it was up to Karunanidhi to take the call on the matter.
