Fast to highlight problems of Hindu religion

: Over 700 activists of various Hindu outfits and social and spiritual organisations, observed a one day fast here here today, highlighting various problmes of the religion.
Organised by Hindu Unity Centre, BJP state general secretary Vanati Srinivasan, RSS president R V S Marimuthu, BJP district presidents and local functionarites various Hindu outfits observed the fast.
Some pontiffs of local Mutts visited the agitators and extended their support.
The agitators alleged that some Hindu leaders were murdered in recent times in and around the city and no persons were arrested in this regard, indicating the negligence of police towards Hindu community.

The protestors, who included 100 women, also raised slogans against the state government and police for allegedly throttling the voice and constitutional rights of Hindus.
