FBI arrests more than 40 alleged East Coast mobsters

The FBI today arrested more than 40 alleged mobsters from four prominent crime families associated with the mafia in coordinated raids up and down the East Coast, US officials said.
The 41 suspects were arrested in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida, a spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation told AFP.
The suspects belong to an organized, East Coast criminal enterprise whose members engaged in crimes including extortion, arson, fraud, firearms trafficking and assault, according to court papers.
