FC Vikings ready to groom Paul in Denmark

Danish top division side FC Vikings is ready to groom Indian goalie Subrata Paul under the guidance of its goalkeeping coach, the club said today.
The club said on its website that Paul has been basically selected to groom as the third goalkeeper of the Danish Superliga side.
"Subrata is a very strong reaction keeper, measuring 185 cm and is 27 years old. Basically, Paul was selected to be an extra guard against Thomas Mikkelsen and Mads V Petersen, and it is intended that he should be further developed under goalkeeper coach Claus Fallentin," the club said.
It said the head coach was enthusiastic to see Paul back in the team.

"Indian national team goalkeeper landed in Denmark. Subrata Paul is back on Danish soil. Initially for another round of try. The Indian A-national team keeper, who was one of three that were for trial before Christmas, is now back in Denmark.
"Head coach Ove Pedersen is enthusiastic about the prospect of getting even a class-keeper in his barn, but at first you have chosen, however, just to see that Paul himself once again."
The club said Director Gert Hansen "still expect that in the current transfer window closes a final agreement with the national team keeper who has no fewer than 67 appearances on the Indian national team - of which the last 9 in 2013 - on his resume".

Paul, the first Indian footballer to join a top division side in Europe, has been offered a contract for the period from January 1 to June 30 by FC Vikings, also known as FC Vestsjaelland, after a three-week trial stint with the club last year. He left for Denmark a few days back.
