Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan today wished his fan on Valentine's Day and revealed that he fell in love for the first time at the age of 10 though it was unrequited.
In a video message to his fans, who asked him about his 'pehla nasha', a reference to the romantic song from his early hit "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar", Aamir said he was unlucky in his initial quest for love.
"Believe it or not, I fell in love when I was 10. I had joined a tennis coaching and the group was large, of 40-50 children. There I was stunned to see a beautiful girl. She was of my age. It was my first love. I just fell head over heels for her. I was totally besotted. But I never had the courage to tell her.
"My tennis improved a lot during this time as I would be the first one to come and the last one to leave as I wanted to impress her. But her family left the city after a year, so it was unrequited love," the 52-year-old actor said.
The actor, who is happily married to second wife Kiran Rao, said he feels a special affinity to people who are not lucky in love as he has gone through such situations in life.
"I was not lucky in love initially. I am now but not in the beginning. I have a special emotion for those who don't get to be with the person they love. I hope that all of you have love in your life," the actor said.
