Female leopard found dead in MP forest

A leopardess has been found dead near a drain at a village in the forest range here, a senior official said today.
The about two-year-old female leopard was found dead at Dhanwahi village under Umaria forest range last night.
After post-mortem, the viscera of the feline was sent for examination to a laboratory in Sagar district, Shahdol Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Sunil Kumar Agrawal said.
The cause of its death will be known once the viscera report is out, he said.
Patrolling has been intensified in the Umaria forest range, he added.
