Fifteen executives of RSP bag coveted Jawahar Award

Fifteen executives of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) have bagged the coveted Jawahar Award this year for outstanding work, contributing towards improvement in production, productivity, maintenance, services, quality, cost reduction and safety, RSP sources said.
Prasanta Kumar Tripathy, Senior Manager, Coke Ovens (Electrical), received the award for significant contribution towards project completion of Coke Ovens Battery No. 6 complex, while Ramkrushna Patra, AGM, Steel Melting Shop-I (Operation) was chosen for the award for the key role played by him in improving production and productivity of SMS-I.
The award was given to R N Rajendran, AGM, Hot Strip Mill (Mechanical) for facilitating adoption of innovative procedures for reducing cobbles in Hot Strip Mill while the contribution of Subhashis Ghosal, DGM, Special Plate Plant, in increasing the production and dispatch of DMR grade plates to the Defence Ministry won him the award.

Lalit Mohan Behera, AGM, Roll Shop bagged the award for initiatives to reduce inventory of rolls.
Deepak Gupta, DGM in-charge Repair and Construction (Mechanical) was awarded for contributing towards development of standard Test Car for calibration of Rail Weigh Bridges in RSP.
