The delegation headed by FINER chairman R S Joshi urged the Minister to address pressing issues like revocation of suspension of North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (NEIIP), provision of adequate budgetary support for NEIIP and other schemes for development of industry and service sector in the region.
The delegation also demanded a focused banking policy for the Northeast with increased Credit/Deposit ratio in the region, deputing best people in the region's specialised branches, posting of skilled work force, specialised industrial branches, mid corporate/CAG branches by the SBI and augmentation of powers of offices in the region.
FINER also invited the Minister to visit to the North East at an early convenient date for interactive sessions with stakeholders.
