The FIR was lodged yesterday on the basis of a written complaint lodged by the Executive Engineer of the Housing Board's Jamshedpur division, Vinod Kumar following the directive of the Superintendent of Police, Inderjeet Mahatha, who has taken cognizance on the basis of reports published in a section of media recently.
Mahatha today said Kumar was the custodian of the land belonging to the Housing Board under his jurisdiction and asked to take action against the encroachers, following which Executive Engineer registered a written complaint against thirteen persons.
The SP also assured to initiate similar action against the encroachers across the district if the Housing Board officials bring such cases to his notice.
