Father of one of the two missing students of Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) registered a case of murder against his friends at Hajipur Town police station in Vaishali district today.
The two CNLU students - Shriyal Paras of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and Abhishek Raj of Ara in Bhojpur district of Bihar - had gone missing in the wee hours of Sunday while taking a bath in the brimming Gandak River at Konhara Ghat in Hajipur.
Both of them were part of a group of eight students studying in the third year at CNLU. They had come to Hajipur for picnicking without informing their hostel or college authorities, while their annual examinations were on.
Hajipur Town Station House Officer (SHO) Jitendra Prasad said "An FIR has been lodged by Surendra Singh, who is the father of Abhishek Raj. He has accused the remaining six students of that group of killing his son. We have started investigations."
Meanwhile, divers of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have failed to find the two missing boys despite several attempts over the last three days.
