The blaze erupted in the shop of Mohammad Younis Banday at main market Beerwah, 20-km from here, in the wee hours, damaging it completely.
A charred body of an unidentified person was found under the debris, police said.
"The body is lying in the Beerwah Police Station for identification," they said.
