Police said the workers were not on the premises as they had gone out for a break. On noticing smoke emanating from the unit, they rushed back, saw the blaze and informed fire service personnel.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after a four hour effort.
The cause of the fire was not known, police said, adding the actual loss was being ascertained.
