A minor fire broke out in the office of a minister in the Civil Secretariat here today, damaging furniture.
The blaze erupted due to short-circuit in the office of Urban Development minister N R Jora, officials said.
There was no loss of life or injury though the blaze damaged furniture and roof of the room, they said.
The incident happened on the first day of reopening of offices in the Civil Secretariat, the seat of the Jammu and Kashmir government, in the winter capital.
In July this year, a fire damaged some rooms and gutted records in the Secretariat in Srinagar, the summer capital.
