Aishwarya, 41, who will make her Cannes appearance on May 17, is returning to the big screen after a gap of five years with the Sanjay Gupta-directed action thriller.
The director took to Twitter to share his excitment. "WOW... Just 3 days to go before we reveal the first glimpse of our labour of love JAZBAA at Cannes," Sanjay tweeted.
Besides the actress, the film stars Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles.
She has been representing the country at the movie gala's red carpet for more than a decade now with actresses Sonam Kapoor and Katrina Kaif joining her in recent years.
In 2003, the "Guzaarish" star was a part of the Cannes jury, which has had Indian celebrities like Shekhar Kapur, Sharmila Tagore, Nandita Das and Vidya Balan.
Neeraj Ghaywan's "Masaan" and Gurvinder Singh's "Chauthi Koot" will screen in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes 2015.
