Rudd, 45, features in the image from director Peyton Reed's Marvel Studios film. The movie began shooting in San Francisco on August 18, reported MTV online.
Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, John Slattery, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena and TI will also feature in the film.
"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr Hank Pym (Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats," read Marvel's new synopsis.
'Ant-Man' will be released on July 15, 2015.
