Five AP revenue staff killed in road mishap

Five Revenue department officials including a woman were killed while another person was critically injured when their speeding car collided head on with a truck at V Kota about 100 kms from here today, police said.
The accident occurred when the vehicle in which they were travelling to attend a departmental association meeting in Madanapalli from V Kota, rammed into a truck coming in the opposite direction, while overtaking a bus, they said adding three persons including a woman died on the spot.
A Tahsildar, Deputy Tahsildar and Revenue inspector were among the deceased aged between 30 and 45, police said.

Meanwhile, the condition of the vehicle's driver, who has been admitted to the government hospital in Kuppam, is said to be critical, they added.
