There was information about supply of marijuana and that it involved notorious drug dealers who smuggled the contraband from Barpeta in Assam and Andhra Pradesh, into Delhi-NCR, said Romil Baaniya, DCP (south east Delhi).
Rajesh Kumar, 48, was caught smuggling 50 kg of marijuana in his car, near Tughalaqabad Metro station on November 6, the officer said.
He was put through sustained interrogation during which he disclosed information about the drug peddlers he was going to supply in south east Delhi, Baaniya said.
Two women -- Hafiza, 29, and Bilkis, 28, -- were arrested from Taimoor Nagar, two days later. Over 24 kg marijuana was recovered from Hafiza and 23 kg from Bilkis, he said.
Vinod, 28, was arrested from Subhash Camp at Badarpur on November 13, with 18.950 kg of marijuana, the officer added.
