Five arrested after truck with 600 sugar bags goes untraceable
Press Trust of India Muzaffarnagar Five persons were arrested after a truck loaded with 600 sugar bags left for Punjab from a sugar mill here but could not reach its destination, police said today.
The five accused, including the driver, were arrested from Ramraj police station limits in the district yesterday, SHO Kamal Singh of Ramraj police station said.
The truck loaded with the sugar bags was dispatched to Punjab from Tikola sugar mill in the district on April 24.
However, when it did not reach its destination the company that had placed the order for the sugar filed a case.
Police said the truck was looted by the miscreants with the conspiracy of the driver and the item was sold.
The truck could not be seized as yet, police said.
