Trupti Singh, a final year MBBS student of Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, and four others were arrested in connection with murder of CRPF Jawan Vijendra Singh, Bilaspur SP Ratan Lal Dangi told Bhasha/PTI over phone.
The body of the victim was recovered in Masturi police station jurisdiction of the district on April 13 last year.
Vijendra's relatives had suspected Trupti's involvement in the crime.
According to police, the two had an affair some years ago, but Vijendra married someone else.
Trupti allegedly pressed Vijendra to marry her and began to harass his wife. When Vijendra refused to marry her, she along with four of her friends allegedly killed him, police said.
