Five cops transferred ahead of phase 5 polls in West Bengal

The Election Commission today transferred five police officials ahead of polling for the fifth phase for West Bengal Assembly on April 30.
A sub-inspector of Kasba police station, officers-in-charge of Jibantala, Panchasayar and Harwood Point Coastal police stations in South 24 Parganas district were transferred with immediate effect, EC official said.
Besides, the sub-divisional police officer of Kakdwip was also transferred, officials said.
