Five dead as car falls into valley in Kolhapur district

Five persons hailing from Belgaum in Karnataka were killed today after their car fell into a deep valley in Maharashtra's Kolhapur district, police said.

The incident occurred when the driver of the car lost his control over the vehicle at a turning at Kodali near Tilari village, following which the car fell into the valley, a police official said.

The deceased are identified as Mohan Redkar (40), Krishna Gavade (19), Yallappa Patil (45), Pankaj Tevekar (30) and Nagendra Gavade (29).
