Five hardcore ANCA militants nabbed in Assam
Press Trust of India Rangiya (Assam) Five hardcore militants of the newly formed Garo outfit of Achik National Cooperation Army (ANCA) were today nabbed during a joint operation by Assam and Meghalaya police in Assam's Kamrup (Rural) district.
Acting on a tip-off, the Meghalaya police chased the militants who were travelling in a vehicle and were nabbed with the help of Assam police at Boko along the border of the two states, a police spokesman said.
The militants have been identified as Hanil Marak, Lokrat Marak, Arjun Be, Geelsing Sangma and Silgrak Gee Momin and they were being interrogated at Boko police station.
