Five held in loot incident in Jamshedpur

Five persons allegedly involved in a loot incident were arrested and identical number of stolen motorcycles recovered, a senior police officer today said.
A special police team constituted for the arrest of the culprits achieved the breakthrough when they nabbed one Md Salim Khan of Mango area last night and his subsequent interrogation led the team to arrest three of his accomplices involved in the loot of two persons-Rajeev Soren and Sohrai Tudu of their belongings including motorcycles, mobile phones and Rs.550/- cash on Dimna-Patamda road under Bodam police station on 14th February, Senior Superintendent of Police, Amol V Homkar said.
Salim's accomplices arrested were identified as Md Abdul Shabbir, Javed Khan and Md Mahfooz (all residents of Azadnagar police station limits here.
Police also arrested one Rajen Murmu, a resident of Kadadoha under Kapali police station in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district. Murmu was arrested as the looted motorcycles were recovered from his place.
Besides, police also recovered three motorcycles kept in suspicious condition in his house, he said.
Police has launched a hunt to apprehend another accuse Vijay Tirkey, who was at large, he said adding Tirkey has been chargesheeted in dacoity cases registered in Azadnagar police station here.
