Five juveniles on the run caught

Five of the 12 juvenile offenders, who escaped from an observation home here, have been caught, police said today.
The five children were nabbed outside Nashik and will be brought here later. A search is on for the remaining seven inmates, Sarkarwada Police Station's Assistant Police Inspector R V Shejar said.
Out of the five juveniles, two were caught yesterday and three nabbed today, police said.
Offences have been registered against the offenders under IPC sections 224 (resistance or obstruction by a person to his lawful apprehension) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), Shejar said.
The inmates of 'Kishor Sudhargrih' (children correctional home) scaled the protection wall of the facility at around 3 AM yesterday and ran away, remand home's principal Vilas Sable yesterday said.
The Maharashtra government-run detention centre for under-age offenders is near the central bus stand in middle of the city.
The 12 children, remanded on the directives of juvenile court for various offences like murder and theft, escaped by making a human-tower using bed-sheets and cut iron-bars of the barrack before scaling the 16-feet high protection wall of the remand home, Sable said today.
There were a total 26 juveniles in the remand home out of whom 12 escaped yesterday, he said.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Prison), Pune, Bhooshan Kumar Upadhyay visited the remand home yesterday and suspended two of its staff members for alleged negligence while on security duty, the principal said.
