Five killed as truck rams into SUV

Five persons, including two women and a girl, today died on the spot after a speeding truck rammed into their SUV car at Pithampur near here, police said.
"The victims were going from Indore to Mumbai in their SUV, when a speeding lorry hit their vehicle near Sanjay Jalashay (pond) on the outskirts of Pithampur Industrial area," police inspector Santosh Dudhi said.
Efforts are on to identify the deceased, the Inspector said adding that a case has been registered against the truck driver, who fled from the spot.
Further investigations into the case is on, he added.
