accidents, at least 5 persons died and another was injured today in Balasore district, the police said.
While three people died as two trucks had an head-on collision near Chalanti on NH-60 under Jaleswar police station, another person died due to a collision between a truck and a tractor near Bidu on NH-5 under Soro Police Station.
A person suffered injuries in a truck-tractor collision, the police said.
In another incident, a woman was run over by a train while she was crossing a railway level crossing near Soro, the police said adding that three separate cases have been lodged and dead bodies sent for post-mortem.
