Five persons were killed and another was injured when their motorcycles coming from opposite directions collided in Munger district, the police said.
Two bikes carrying three persons each collided killing four of them on the spot while another died on way to the hospital Friday near Rampur Maujma bridge under Sangrampur police station.
While three persons riding a bike were going to a fair organised at Balia village on the occasion of Kali puja, the other three riding a two-wheeler were returning from the fair, the police said.
The injured person, admitted to the Sangrampur primary health centre, is out of danger.
