The gang members, arrested from Sahibabad area of the district, have been identified as Sunil, Anil, Shibu, Ajeet and Praveen, police said, adding that they belong to Meerut and Gautam Budh Nagar districts.
The members have confessed to their involvement in as many as 24 murders and nearly 100 cases of loot in Delhi-NCR, Meerut and Bulandshahr, SHO Ramnath Singh Yadav said.
Describing their modus operandi, he said the gang members would offer a lift to victims and after taking them to a secluded spot, they would rob and kill them.
