The incident took place when the girl, a 11th standard student, was going to school with her brother on bicycle and five persons tried to kidnap her, Kamlapur SHO Ram Autar Yadav said.
Durgesh Singh, Parul Singh, Amit Singh and 2 others fled from the spot after the siblings resisted, he said.
A case under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered in this connection, Yadav said.
