Speaker of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today directed marshalling out of five MLAs, including one from ruling National Conference, after they stormed the well of the House on various issues.
The first incident took place during the Question Hour when the three MLAs of National Panthers Party (NPP), who had come to the house wearing red gown, stormed into the well over alleged discrimination against Jammu region.
The Speaker repeatedly requested the protesting MLAs to resume their seats but the legislators kept shouting slogans.
Gul then directed the Assembly Marshalls to evict the protesting legislators out of the house.
The second incident took place when National Conference MLA Mohammad Ashraf Ganaie, not satisfied with government reply over shifting of Forestry and Horticulture course from Wadoora College in Sopore to Srinagar, protested in front of the Speaker's chair in the well.
Ganaie was joined by independent MLA from Langate Sheikh Abdul Rashid.
The speaker directed their eviction for ensuring that several bills scheduled to be passed on the last day of the session are taken up.
Earlier, BJP MLAs staged a walk out from the house for not being allowed to raise issues pertaining to their constituencies as ruling National Conference and Opposition PDP were slugging out on the alleged land grabbing by some politicians in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district.
