Five of family electrocuted

Five persons belonging to an extended family, including a father and his two sons, died after they suffered an electric shock while working in their field at Chilakagurky village here today, police said.
"The mishap occurred when the victims accidentally came in contact with an 11 KV wire while shifting metal pipes during repairing of a borewell system in their field," said SP Rajasekar Babu.
The deceased were identified as Revanna (60), his two sons Yerriswami and Brahmaiah, his nephew Narendra and grandson Rajasekhar(18), the officer said, adding a woman member of the family was seriously injured in the incident.
