Five sand mafias arrested in UP

Five alleged sand mafias have been arrested and four tractor trolleys seized from them near Bhopa in this district, an official said today.
A team of irrigation department and police officials arrested five people for lifting sand from Ganga canal and seized four tractor trolleys loaded with sand yesterday, Executive Engineer of Irrigation department Ashok Rana said.
The arrested have been identified Naresh, Nimu, Ravi, Manoj Kumar and Chotu, Rana added.
