Fire and Rescue Services personnel the fire broke o ut in an electrical shop at around 3 AM and spread to a nearby grocery shop, tea shop and two other shops.
Almost all materials inside the shops were burnt, the said, adding the loss is estimated at around Rs 15 lakh.
Three fire tenders from Erode, Modakurichi and Perundurai battled the blaze for more than two hours before bringing it under contro, they said.
