A SpiceJet flight, with 100 air passengers on board, returned soon after take-off as the pilot detected technical fault, at the NSC Bose International airport here today.
Airport sources said the Kolkata-Bagdogra aircraft was taking off when the glitches were detected and the plane touched down immediately and went back to the taxi bay at around 5 pm.
As the aircraft got stuck on ground for minutes, some passengers protested while some others fell sick but were attended to by doctors.
The stranded passengers were escorted to another plane and later left for Bagdogra.
