Flying squads for smooth conduct of LS polls in Telangana

As many as 432 Flying Squads have been formed for the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha polls to be held on April 11, Telangana Chief Electoral officer Rajat Kumar said Thursday.

In addition to this, 188 video surveillance teams, another 95 teams to observe the accounting expenditure and 57 district teams have also been formed, he told reporters.

Rajat Kumar said 1,932 poll related cases were registered during the 2018 elections and there have been convictions in 71 cases. About 580 cases are pending trial after completion of investigation, he added.
