The meeting of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman with CEOs of public sector banks scheduled for Friday has been postponed due to her pre-occupation in Parliament, sources said.
The new date is yet to be decided.
The finance minister was scheduled to review the progress of resolution of NPAs under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code with heads of public sector banks.
The meeting was also called to take stock of the banking sector and discuss ways to improve financial health and credit delivery to important sectors of the economy, they said.
The credit growth has just crossed double-digit mark amid crisis in the NBFC sector.
The Budget Session of Parliament was earlier scheduled to end in July, but was extended to clear the pending business.
