Focus area of the 'Janmabhoomi- Maa Vooru' (JBMV) programme, being launched on January 2, is 'Smart Village-Smart Ward (SVSW) towards Smart Andhra Pradesh', Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said today.
"The third phase of JBMV will also see facilitating interaction of the partners of the smart Andhra Pradesh with government officials and community; sensitising the partners and community on 20 non-negotiable indicators of the smart Andhra Pradesh programme; sensitising the partners and community on baselines survey of the SVSW programme," he said in his New Year wishes to people of Andhra Pradesh and Telugus all over the world.
He urged people to adopt their hometowns or wards and contribute towards building 'Sunrise Andhra Pradesh'. The state government encourages people to adopt their native places for development under 'Janmabhoomi - Ma Vooru' (motherland - our village/town) programme.
The JBMV is also aimed at getting feedback on the implementation of development and welfare programmes and resolving the grievances.
Naidu assured that 12.50 lakh applicants would be issued new ration cards and each household would have gas connections next year.
"My deepest wish for us is that we can forge a unity of spirit and purpose that will amaze not just others, but ourselves. I wish we could come together in a way we have never done before; that we could mobilise all our energy and passion to build Andhra Pradesh," he said.
