Forbes unveils top Indian business honchos in UAE

The inaugural Forbes list of 'Top 100 Indian leaders in the UAE' has been topped by Lulu Group's Yusuff Ali, followed by Landmark Group Chairman Micky Jagtiani and BR Shetty of NMC group.
Other prominent Indians who appear in the list are PNC Menon, Sunny Varkey, Azad Moopen, Joy Alukkas, Syed Salahuddin, and Jacky Panjabi.
Shashi Tharoor, Union Minister for Human Resources presented the Forbes recognition to Ali, here yesterday.
Yusuff Ali has also been featured in the latest Forbes Billionaires list with a net worth of USD 1.5 billion.
He heads Abu Dhabi headquartered Lulu Group, USD 4.25 billion in sales retailing powerhouse that runs 105 hypermarkets, supermarkets, department stores and shopping malls in the MENA region and India.

Ranking criteria for top business leaders included history of the company and number of years in operation, international reach, impact in terms of employment, local and international presence, CSR initiatives and charity and international recognition.
