Inspector General (IG) of CRPF (Jammu sector) Abhay Vir Chauhan said the force would always remain indebted to the families of bravehearts who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
He was speaking at an event at CRPF camp Dheerti Dharore paying tributes to Havildar Harvinder Singh, who died while saving a pilgrim from falling stones.
Chauhan said Singh was awarded Prime Minister Jiwan Raksha Padak for his brave act.
"The force will always remain indebted to the families of martyrs and our bravehearts who gave the supreme sacrifice for the nation," he said.
