According to SP (city) Alok Priyadarshi, the miscreants were "partially" identified and efforts were on to nab them.
"We had sealed the state border but they managed to escape," he said, adding that habitual offenders, known to indulge in this kind of activities, have been rounded up.
Range Officer Mukesh Meena (50) had gone to a bank.
"After collecting Rs 10 lakh cash and keeping the money in a bag, he was about to get into his car at around 11.30 am when two motorcycle-borne men snatched the bag and fled," DFOSK Shukla said.
The bank is hardly at a distance of 50 metres from the Chauki Bag Bahadur police outpost.
