Forest Guard injured by elephant

A 54-year-old Forest Guard was injured today after he was attacked by a wild elephant, forest department officials said here.
Rasiah of the Geermalam forest range in Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve in the district was on patrol duty when he was pushed down by an elephant, they said.
He sustained minor injuries in the incident. People in the nearby areas took him to the government hospital, they said.
