A former Akali Sarpanch of village Khiala under Lopokey police station area was killed by unidentified persons here today, officials said.
Sarbjit Singh was killed with sharp edged weapons, the police officials added.
His body was found by family members in a field, they said.
Family members claimed he was killed because of political rivalry. However, police said they were investigating the matter.
