A special police team from Berhampur picked up Ramesh Jena, along with two corporators of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BMC), from an apartment at Khandagiri area in Bhubaneswar, a police officer said.
Police raided the house of Jena in the apartment to nab one of the accused persons who had allegedly exploded bomb in the house of Ranjit Nayak, a Congress corporator in BMC on February 29. The accused Bapi alias Prem Panda was in the house along with Jena, he said.
"We are quizzing Jena about his involvement in bombing case and the reason to provide shelter to the accused person in this case," said SP (Berhampur) Sarthak Sarangi.
