Former Jharkhand CM opposes Land Acquisition Bill

Opposing the Land Acquisition Bill passed recently by Parliament, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today suggested that the best compensation for land losers would be land in return for land.
At a press conference to release the manifesto of his party, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik), for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Marandi said he had also shared how views with the Lok Sabha Committee set up to study the Bill proposal.
He argued that the bill could be of benefit in cities like Noida, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Bangalore, but not in tribal areas.
