Former Lok Ayuka official's house raided

Officials of the Lok Ayukta today raided the residence of a former Lok Ayuka officer at Udupi after receiving complaints fom the public regarding his disproportionate assets, offical sources said.
Simultaneous raids were also conducted on the properties of the official in Hubli and Udupi at 6.30 am and the officers collected details of documents, jewellery, cash and other valuables, the sources said.
The raid team was led by Dakshina Kannada Lok Ayukta SP Sadananda Varnekar.
The Lok Ayukta official, who had earlier served as Lok Ayutha DySP in Udupi district, was presently the DySP of Udupi Sub-Division, the sources said.
