Former PM Manmohan Singh arrives in Amritsar

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today arrived here to take part in a condolence meeting of one of his relatives, who died recently.
"The former PM and his wife Gursharan Kaur today attended the condolence meeting of Ram Singh Chatha, father-in-law of Singh's niece, at Kennedy Avenue locality here," Vice Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Raj Kumar said.
Later, Singh took part in the religious assembly at a Gurdwara, said Kumar, who received Singh here.
Singh and his wife will visit Golden Temple later in the evening, he added.
The former PM will stay here tonight, and leave for Delhi after visiting his relative's house tomorrow morning, Kumar said.
