Former Social Welfare Officer sent to 3-day police remand

Chief Judicial Magistrate gave Malik's 3-day custody to police for questioning him into the alleged scam.

As many as 11 cases against various district officials have been registered so far in connection with the scam.

Former district social welfare officer, Rinku Singh Rahi, had alleged a multi-crore scam in the social welfare department by staging a dharna in Lucknow in 2002.
