"There is a dire need to chalk out a regularisation mechanism for employees, including doctors, paramedical and management staff working under National Health Mission in Jammu and Kashmir," CPI(M) MLA from Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami said in a statement.
He said services of NHM employees should be regularised on the lines of contractual, adhoc and daily wagers of various departments in the state.
The employees are paid only one third of emoluments in comparison to their counterparts in the state which needs to be enhanced substantially keeping in view the nature of their duties and price escalations.
He also demanded that they be covered under insurance and provident fund scheme.
