"For the last few years we are celebrating Netaji's birthday on January 23 as Desh Prem Diwas across the state. Today also we had a programme at our party headquarters and then several rallies were organised at various parts of state to mark his birth anniversary," senior Forward Bloc leader Naren Chatterjee said.
Meanwhile, apart from the AIFB programmes, West Bengal today observed Netaji's birth anniversary at functions across the state, by paying glowing tributes to his memory.
Floral tributes were paid to the freedom fighter during a function at his ancestral residence in Kodalia in South 24-Parganas district.
People from all walks of life visited Netaji Bhawan in the city since early morning to pay homage.
