Guargum futures up by Rs 24 on spot cues

Guargum prices were up by Rs 24 to Rs 6,585 per quintal in futures trading today as participants raised their bets amid a firm trend at the physical markets.
Marketmen attributed rise in guargum prices to widening of positions, triggered by a firm trend at the physical markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guargum for delivery in far-month April was trading higher by Rs 24, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 6,585 per quintal, having an open interest of 480 lots.
In tune with overall trend, the most-active delivery in February advanced by Rs 11 or 0.17 per cent to Rs 6,430 per quintal, in an open interest of 36,935 lots.
